Charles Anderson read The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged in 1965 and loved them both for their sense of life and the way they integrated many ideas he already largely shared. Charles earned an Sc.B. in Physics at Brown University, was drafted into the army and served in Vietnam, then earned his Ph.D. in Physics at Case Western Reserve University. He worked as a research physicist for the Dept. of the Navy for 10 years performing the surface analysis of materials and then worked at Martin Marietta Laboratories Baltimore for 6 years. In 1995 he established Anderson Materials Evaluation, Inc., which is an independent laboratory offering surface analysis, thermal analysis, electrochemistry, microscopy, infra-red spectroscopy, and mass spectroscopy services, primarily to industry. Owning and operating his own laboratory is the fulfillment of the dream he first had when he was 10 years old.
Charles is married to Anna Palka, who is a hospital pharmacist. He has 3 daughters, Kirsten, Karen, and Kathryn. He greatly enjoys reading, especially history, economics and business, and romantic literature. He appreciates and seeks the rare pleasure of conversation with intelligent, rational, and life-affirming individualists.
